The test is called "Lentisem" and proposes an analysis on the contact lens in scanning microscopy, allowing to identify, in patients who are intolerant to lenses, the causes of the discomfort.
The examination is not invasive and is highly tolerated by the subject, since the investigation is carried out exclusively on the lens worn and can be repeated several times.
Contact lenses are a major cause of keratoconjunctivitis
• If you are immunocompromised
• If you are allergic
• Make frequent use of monthly, weekly or daily soft LACs
• You often have red eyes
• Abundant secretions, burning and / or discomfort
It is likely that you have an infection, with LENTISEM it is possible to check for bacterial infections, fungi or protozoa or allergic situations present in your eye.
Once you have used the lens (for at least one day) instead of throwing it away, store it in the special container without liquid.
